Our parent volunteer program is called PAWS (Parents Always Willing to Serve).
Volunteers are an essential part of Berean Christian School and we hope you choose to get "plugged in" wherever and whenever you possibly can. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends are encouraged to lend a hand for any of our fun school events. Some of our annual school events include:
Picture Day (September) Students K5-12th grade are photographed on this day for the school yearbook. Volunteers help to coordinate class portrait appointments as well as offer check-in assistance.
Book Fair (Fall) The BCS library buzzes this time of year with the PAWS largest fundraiser. Book fair workers' primary responsibility is to assist younger students with their book choices. This event typically runs for one week and is available to all students from Preschool to 12th grade.
Harvest Day (November) This half day event is held for our younger BCS students in K5-6th grade. Harvest Day festivities include fun and games on the field as well as treats to eat. Volunteers are needed in every aspect of this day from start to finish.
Christmas Shop (December) The Christmas Shop gives our students the opportunity to shop for the holidays in a safe and controlled environment. Workers primarily help our younger students shop with their lists from home.
Grandparents' Day This morning event incorporates our grandparents into the school life here at BCS. Student's showcase their talents in academics, arts, and spiritual growth.
Teacher Appreciation This week is designed to express gratitude to BCS teachers for their hard work, dedication, and time with the students at Berean. Volunteers provide support for the day's events.
Secondary Awards Night This night is dedicated to recognizing those students who have excelled in academics and arts throughout the year. Volunteers primarily assist with setup for this event.
End of the Year Event (K5-6th grade) This event is designed to celebrate the year-long efforts of our students. Activities include bounce houses, dunk tank, and a variety of treats!
THROUGHOUT THE YEAR: Volunteers are needed for elementary canteen, classroom assistance, collating curriculum, field-trip chaperones, sporting event aids, bus drivers, etc.
