Dear BCS Parents,
Please continue to pray for the High School Retreat as they travel back from the Lake Placid Camp and Conference Center today. They will arrive today at the 3:15 release time. The JH Retreat will take place next Wednesday through Friday at the same location. Please keep the students and faculty in your prayer as they participate in these trips and that the trips will have a profound effect on their spiritual lives.
The 2014 Enjoy the City Coupon Book fundraiser is currently starting its third week. The fundraiser is a great way to raise funds for the BCS general fund, save you monies at local restaurants and stores, and support your child's homeroom in the school-wide class competition. If you haven't purchased a book yet or been involved in the distribution at this point, it is a great win/win purchase for all. Please check it out. The books sale for $20 each, with $10 going to the BCS general fund.
The current Enjoy the City Coupon Book class competition has the following classes leading their grade level competitions: PS2-4/A tie between Mrs. Sharon's class and Mrs. Reyna's class, K5-2nd/Mrs. Mullis, 3rd-6th/Mrs. Bridgewater, 7th-9th/Mrs. Kappas and 10th-12th/Mrs. Fyke. The total book sales at the conclusion of two weeks are 596 books. Well done Bulldogs! The sale ends October 1st, 2013.
Fall Break is quickly approaching and Grace Fellowship is again offering a Fall Break Camp for all BCS students from grades K5 through 6th during the week of October 7-11, 2013. The camp runs from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM each day, with morning and afternoon care at an additional cost. If you are interested in this assistance with your child, please see the flyer on the BCS website, which will be posted by the end of today or call (561)333-4222, ext 346 for additional information.
The Teacher of the Month Program is back. September has been set aside as the first month designated for the Elementary/Intermediate Teacher of the Month. If you have an elementary or intermediate child, you can nominate your child's teacher on the parent RenWeb, by opening the nomination link on the front page. The nomination process ends the afternoon of September 3rd.
Just as a reminder, no school on Monday, September 2nd. If possible, enjoy this Labor Day with a family fun activity. Have a great extended weekend.
Also a quick reminder, you can follow BCS on Twitter @BCSbulldogsWPB and on Facebook. Both are great ways for getting out the word on BCS and tracking the many events of the school year.
