Spirit Week

Spirit week is a week long pep rally. With morning and afternoon events it is a nice change of pace to the hectic academic schedule. Student Council plans this fun filled week. High School gets the themes for each day of the week far in advance. This year it was sports, Disney, and TV commercial days. Costumes are a must and the kids go all out. Each grade level completes against the other for spirit points. School spirit and costumes are just a few ways to earn points. There are class banner competitions, cheers to learn and games to play. Teachers get involved with costumes and organizing their teams. The winning team is announced at the Homecoming Game on Friday night. We had an upset in 2007/2008 with the freshman winning over the senior class. The class of 2009 took back the spirit stick in the 2008/2009 school year.
